How to swaddle a baby correctly

Swaddling a baby is definitely comforting to them. It helps them to sleep peacefully, without startling themselves awake.
Now, going straight to the point, I did want to make sure I listed out the right way that a baby needs to be swaddled, because there have been several studies citing a correlation of hip dysplasia with tight swaddling of a newborn hips.
Here are step by steps **:

If using a square cloth, fold back one corner creating a straight edge.

Place the baby on the cloth so that the top of the fabric is at shoulder level. If using a rectangular cloth, the baby’s shoulders will be placed at the top of the long side.

Bring the left arm down. Wrap the cloth over the arm and chest. Tuck under the right side of the baby.

Bring the right arm down and wrap the cloth over the baby’s arm and chest.
-
Tuck the cloth under the left side of the baby. The weight of the baby will hold the cloth firmly in place.

Twist or fold the bottom end of the cloth and tuck behind the baby, ensuring that both legs are bent up and out.

Birthing Naturally

Giving life to a new human being is possibly one of the most amazing things a woman will ever go through in her life. Holding and caressing the beautiful newborn baby is thrilling, to say the least. In San Diego, CA, there is a birth center with a really neat cute facility with a great staff and midwives that truly do an excellent job at helping the mom-to-be to give birth naturally. That is the Best Star Birth Center, you can call them and schedule a free tour of their facilities and they will show you their rooms, their setup, etc. The most important thing, is that as the mother or father to be of the new bundle of joy in your life, you will feel that you have a say on how you want your baby’s birthing experience to be. Check them out, it’s worthy it. A woman’s body was perfectly designed to do just that, to be able to birth. And in most cases, giving birth naturally is very possible. I definitely give them two thumbs up!

Sleep, Sweet Sleep

We have always been a super fan of swaddling. From the time our babies were very young, up until about 7,8 months, our babies loved being swaddled. It provided them with security, it was what they had known and felt familiar with, it was what it felt right for them. As parents, this was awesome news. Of course, this does not mean that we escaped the middle of the night feedings. Obviously, when babies are so young, their need their constant nutrition, but swaddling helped in getting them back into sleepy mode once they were done feeding.
Excerpts of the instructions below are extracted from the sozo swaddlers. You can find baby girls swaddlers here and baby boys swaddlers here:
1- Place blanket in diamond shape. Fold down top corner 6 inches and place baby on blanket with head just above the fold. Wrap one side over and tuck snuggly under baby.
2- Bring bottom corner up and tuck up and over baby’s shoulder.
3- Fold other side over and snuggly wrap under baby. Tuck remaining fabric in the shoulder fold.
4- Top off the swaddled baby with the Sozo cap.
What we really like about the Sozo swaddlers, it’s not only the fact that they look extremaly gorgeous on the baby, but also that they are soft, which baby will love, and they come with a cap. So, for those colder than usual nights, they would be an excellent choice. However, ensure that the cap fits nicely on the baby’s head, you don’t want the cap too tight, where it could interfere with head growth/circulation or too loose, where it could go over their nose. The Sozo swaddlers/cap sets are meant for babies 0-6 months, but since babies come in all sizes and shapes, it is very important, just like with any other product that you intent to use on your baby, to pay attention to the details on how those products are supposed to work on the baby.

Hi All!
I am excited to introduce my company CoolMunchkins.com, which will be going online really soon. Since the moment I became a mom to my two beautiful children, a toddler boy and a baby girl, one of my passions has been to keep well informed about all the things that I can do to ensure their healthy growth, physical and emotional. In my journey, there are several things that I have become fond of doing, those are, finding them fun beautiful clothing at very good prices, swaddlers to ensure a good night (or good nap) sleepy time for both me and them, and quality toys that promote good physical and brain development, hand-eye coordination, sensory development, and last but not least, a great bond between my babies and I. It’s truly amazing to hear those first giggles, laughs, see their little happy faces and when you look into your baby’s eyes, as you’re playing with them, you can almost see how their brains is taking in all the information you’re giving them, processing them and becoming more intelligent, all in front of your very eyes. Truly amazing.
Anyway, our company will be coming online really soon, with a great selection of clothes and toys from brand names like LazyOne, Sozo, True Bijou, Zoobies, there really will be a great variety of items at very good prices. In fact, we’re holding a BIG grand opening sale, lots of items are going for sale at a reduced price. There will be more brand names coming soon, as well, as great organic lines.
